Project - 2023 Aunty Yvonne Kent

Having completed a leadership community development program, the participants are now coordinating
the Tamworth Pioneers Portrait project - a speaking and artwork creation to honour Aunty Yvonne Kent.

This event is open to THE WHOLE COMMUNITY (Tamworth LGA) and family and friends of Aunty.

JOIN IN

  • Reflecting on Aunty’s life
  • Putting your mark on the artwork
  • Telling your story of Aunty
  • Or you can kick back and be entertained and inspired.

We’re going to celebrate with …

  • Entertainment
  • Fun & Food 
  • TED style talks about Community Leadership and the example of Aunty's life and contribution to the Tamworth community; young and old, black, white, and brindle - as the saying goes.

The community event is taking place on:
Wednesday June 28th 2023
Two sessions on offer; 11am - 2 pm and 6pm - 8pm.

WHERE
Darling St Community Center,
3A Darling St, Tamworth.

Tamworth Pioneers Portrait

It is envisaged that the ‘Honouring Pioneers’, using the portrait and TED-type speak event,
will become an annual event to highlight and encourage community contribution,
creating a ‘Hall of Founders/Pioneers’ of the Tamworth Regional area community.
Aunty Yvonne Kent being the first of many who may include; Bruce Treloar, Noel Park, and many others.

We are a volunteer organization, made up of passionate Tamworthian, bringing skills, knowledge, resources, and connections to the Tamworth LGA (alongside running our businesses or work).
